Areas I photograph
Most of my matric dance season is photographed across the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, the northern and eastern estates, Pretoria, and a scheduled trip to Cape Town. Choose the area closest to you for local venue, light and timing notes.
Matric dance portraits and pre-drinks coverage across Sandton and Johannesburg's leafy northern suburbs, where most of my season is photographed. Gardens here are mature, the light is soft late in the afternoon, and homes usually have more than one usable portrait setting.
Sandhurst · Hyde Park · Inanda · Illovo · Atholl · Bryanston · Morningside · River Club and more
View SandtonMatric dance photography in the northern estates, where pre-drinks are often hosted on a clubhouse lawn or an estate home with wide open views. Estate access takes planning, and I handle that with your host before the day.
Dainfern · Dainfern Valley · Steyn City · Waterfall Country Estate · Waterfall Equestrian Estate · Fourways Gardens · Blue Hills Equestrian Estate · Saddlebrook Estate
View Fourways & DainfernMatric dance portraits east and south of Johannesburg, from Bedfordview homes with city views to the larger lifestyle estates further out. These evenings often start earlier because of the drive to the venue, so timing matters more than anywhere else.
Bedfordview · Senderwood · Meyersdal Eco Estate · Eye of Africa · Serengeti Golf Estate
View Bedfordview & the EastMatric dance photography across Pretoria's old suburbs and eastern golf and equestrian estates. Pretoria's matric dance season runs slightly differently to Johannesburg's, and dates fill early, so it is worth confirming yours well in advance.
Waterkloof · Waterkloof Ridge · Waterkloof Heights · Groenkloof · Mooikloof Equestrian Estate · Silver Lakes Golf Estate · Woodhill Golf Estate · Cornwall Hill Country Estate and more
View PretoriaMatric dance portraits in Cape Town, from the mountain-side gardens of the Southern Suburbs to sea-facing homes along the Atlantic Seaboard. Cape Town light is exceptional at the end of the day, and the wind decides a great deal, so the schedule is built around both.
Constantia · Constantia Upper · Bishopscourt · Newlands · Upper Newlands · Claremont Upper · Rondebosch · Clifton and more
